Planning for Disneyland: Blogs

Hello guys and welcome to another Disneyland planning post! The best way I get my information is from other blogs, so I’m going to be talking about my favourite Disneyland, and Disney Parks, blogs that I use when planning for a Disney trip.

Of course, when I’m home from my trip, I’ll be doing a series of blog posts to help you all plan your future Disney trips! But until then, I’m going to talk your head off about planning.

Disney Tourist Blog

Disney Tourist blog has a great post on how to plan for a Disneyland trip in 2018. This blog post contains links to other blog posts, so that you’re only being given the information you need. It’s a clear and concise way of putting all the information you need in one place, without actually throwing all that information at you in one go. It’s been bookmarked on my iPhone since the day we booked our trip, and I’ve been referring to it ever since.

All Ears

All Ears was recommended to me by my Mom, and we’ve been using this site since our trip to Walt Disney World in 2015. When we were making restaurant reservations, it was really important that I – the pickiest of all eaters – could eat on the menu, so we were constantly looking up menus on this site. I’m also using it for news of ride closures and planned refurbishments, as I’m always really scared that my favourite rides are going to be closed. This website is perfect for either Walt Disney World or Disneyland, and has all the information you need.

The Happiest Blog on Earth

This one is a new discovery, but I wish I’d found it sooner. I’ve also found out that she’s written two books, which I am going to be reading soon. I’m currently reading the Disneyland in February post, as there isn’t a blog post yet with information for our trip – it’s got all the relevant information such as special events, park closures, new things etc., so I can’t wait until there’s a blog post relevant to us! They also offer a mailing list where you can have tips sent to you specifically for the month of your trip.

Mouse Planet

Another good blog I’ve recently stumbled upon is Mouse Planet, and again it’s a blog that encompasses both Disneyland and Walt Disney World. It even has a history of the Parks on the site, for those of you like me who need to rehearse some facts for those long queues!

Disneyland Daily

This blog has a brilliant ‘6-step planning process’: pick a date, choose where to stay, make a daily plan, decide where to eat, plan park touring, and add extra magic. Our family is currently on step four, so we’re almost there! The guide I’m finding most helpful right now is the Disneyland Shopping Guide, as my bank account is ready to blow two months wages on Disney merchandise!

Stuffed Suitcase

This travel site isn’t specific to Disney Parks, but it has an Ultimate Disneyland Guide which is really useful, and it also has more general help with packing, planning and travelling. I usually prefer to look at Disney-oriented sites only, but this one is amazing and deserves to be mentioned.

If you’ve enjoyed this post, please link, comment or follow me to let me know I’m doing a good job. See ya real soon!
