Hello everyone, and welcome to another Disney book review! I love writing these, and I’ve found I’m reading a lot more this year already, which is wonderful. Today I’m going to review The Little Book of Pooh-isms, which you can get yourself via this affiliate link (that means, at no extra cost to you, I get a small percentage of the sale of this book). I personally bought mine from the Morrison’s which I work at.
This was a book that featured in my January TBR, so I am a little late reviewing it, and will be a lot later with the other two, which I hope you will forgive me for.
So, this is quite a short book. I read in it under ten minutes, because every two page spread is a quote from Christopher Robin with a picture. The illustrations are beautiful, and I enjoyed re-reading the quotes from the film so much that I decided to re-watch the film. I’m really glad I waited until it was out on DVD so that I didn’t have to wait to watch the film again!
I posted a picture of the book on Winnie the Pooh day last month and you all said you loved this book, but I’m reviewing it for those of you who either haven’t seen it or aren’t sure it’s for you.
Honestly, for me it was a no-brainer. I love books that don’t take very long to read, and the idea of having kid’s books around for when I do have children really does appeal to me. I think as well as a kid’s book, this book doubles as a motivational book too!
No, seriously. A lot of the quotes in Christopher Robin have been very helpful to me. I even wrote a blog post last year about my favourite quotes from the film, and they’re all included in this book!
I’m sorry this review was so short, but honestly it’s such a short book that there’s no much else I can say. It includes the very best quotes from the Christopher Robin film, it was beautiful illustrations, and I think it would be perfect for adults as well as children!
